Anthony Stratis Chosen for Homecoming Court at The University of Akron

Anthony Stratis of Canfield, OH, was elected to Homecoming Royalty at The University of Akron. Stratis is majoring in Political Sci - Amer Politics. On Friday, Oct. 5, Stratis was crowned Homecoming King.

Homecoming Royalty candidates are required to have at least a 2.5 grade point average, and have completed 96 credit hours. Six men and eight women, including Stratis, were elected Homecoming Royalty. Elections to the Homecoming Royalty were held Wednesday, Sept. 19, through Monday, Sept. 24, on the web at www.uakron.edu/vote. Following an interview and presentation, Anthony Stratis of Canfield was elected Homecoming King and Lauren Harbath of Richfield was elected Homecoming Queen.

The winners were crowned at the Homecoming dance on Friday, Oct. 5. They led the Homecoming Spirit Walk on Saturday, Oct. 6, and then participated in homecoming activities, culminating in the Zips football game against Bowling Green State University.
