The NCSC is the largest and oldest sales competition, with students participating from all over the world. Through the Fisher Institute for Professional Selling in the College of Business Administration, students annually compete at the NCSC, with the Fisher Institute recognized as one of the top sales centers in the country.

Mallinak, who is majoring in sales management, marketing management and integrated marketing communications, made it to the quarterfinals round. Niznik, majoring in marketing management and integrated marketing communications, made it to the wildcard round, just before the quarterfinals.

Accompanying the students to the competition in Georgia were Dave Payne, a lecturer in marketing and associate director of the Fisher Institute, and Lauren Houser, also a lecturer in marketing.

"It is extremely gratifying for our marketing faculty to see Ashley at the national level," says Dr. Terry Daugherty, associate professor and interim chair of the Department of Marketing. "Our smart, hard working and dedicated students have a bright future ahead of them in business."

Ashley Niznik is from Bridgeville, PA (15017), majoring in Marketing Management Program.
