Brooke Fraley participated in Alternative Spring Break

2015 Apr 2

Brooke Fraley of Columbus, OH was one of 91 University of Akron students to complete a variety of service projects during the ninth annual Alternative Spring Break, March 23-26.

From creating rain barrels to building a shed, siding a house, and constructing raised flowers beds?just a few of the impactful projects students completed. Participants experienced a rewarding service opportunity which took some outside of their comfort zone and allowed them to learn new skills. As students reflected on their experience many noted feeling more connected to the University and now having a renewed sense of pride in being a Zip and commitment in volunteering.
