Christina White participated in UA's 2014 Alternative Spring Break program

For most students, spring break is a time to relax and have some fun. For Christina, spring break means a little more.

This year, Christina was one of 87 students to travel with UA's Alternative Spring Break program March 24-26. UA teams traveled to sites in South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Virginia, and completed nearly 2,200 community service hours.

In South Carolina, Christina worked at Habitat for Humanity of Marion County. Marion is the poorest county in South Carolina where 17% of the residents have a median income that is 50% below the national average. Students helped put the finishing touches on a home built for a family in need. Take a look at the photos!

From Barberton, OH, Christina is pursuing the degree Bachelor of Arts, Interdisciplinary Studies.
