Grant Kinney chosen to referee national tournament

University of Akron Student Recreation & Wellness Services student employee, Grant Kinney, is an official in the Intramural Sports program. Kinney was selected to represent UA as a student official at the NCCS Regional Flag Football Tournament at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, November 9-11, 2012. Kinney then applied, and received an At-Large bid to officiate at the ACIS National Flag Football Championships, December 28-30, 2012 at The University of West Florida. Kinney was one of the top 45 student flag football officials from across the country and was chosen to be Back Judge for a Men’s Semi-Final Game at the national tournament.

Kinney is majoring in Business Administration at UA.
