Held annually, The University of Akron LIFE (legacy, integrity, fellowship, excellence) Awards honors students, faculty, and campus organizations that have demonstrated the LIFE values.

At this year's event, Jessica Gonda of Boardman,OH, won the A-Key Award (Blue), Top 10 Senior Award, and the Who's Who In American Colleges and Universities Award. The A-Key Blue Award is presented annually to undergraduate students that demonstrate active involvement on campus and academic success. Students must have a minimum 2.3 grade point average and be currently enrolled in at least 12 hours, or a fifth-year graduating senior who has consistently been a full-time student, or an average of 12 credit hours or more per semester for his/her college career. The Top 10 Senior Award is presented annually to 10 seniors who show quality and depth and breadth of involvement in a variety of campus, athletic, and/or community activities. Students must also show high scholastic achievement. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average, be in good standing, have completed at least 96 credit hours, and their anticipated graduation date must be May, August or December of the current year. The Who's Who Award is presented annually to students who demonstrate leadership potential. The award is based on academic success, campus involvement, volunteer work and community service. Applicants must have a minimum accumulative grade point average of 2.90, currently be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours, and be active in any co-curricular involvement at The University of Akron.
