Julia Wood receives the A-Key Award (Gold) and the Top 10 Senior Award.

Held annually, The University of Akron LIFE (legacy, integrity, fellowship, excellence) Awards honors students, faculty, and campus organizations that have demonstrated the LIFE values.

At this year's event, Julia Wood of Norton,OH, won the A-Key Award (Gold) and the Top 10 Senior Award. The A-Key Gold Award is presented annually to undergraduate students that distinguish themselves as some of this university's most actively involved student leaders and academic achievers. Students must have a minimum 2.3 grade point average and be currently enrolled in at least 12 hours, or a fifth-year graduating senior who has consistently been a full-time student, or an average of 12 credit hours or more per semester for his/her college career. The Top 10 Senior Award is presented annually to 10 seniors who show quality and depth and breadth of involvement in a variety of campus, athletic, and/or community activities. Students must also show high scholastic achievement. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average, be in good standing, have completed at least 96 credit hours, and their anticipated graduation date must be May, August or December of the current year.
