Natalie Miller Volunteered for The University of Akron's Make a Difference Day

Natalie Miller of Wooster, OH was one of more than 550 University of Akron students and staff who volunteered in the Akron community for Make a Difference Day 2014. Miller is majoring in AYA -Integrated Social Studies at UA.

2014 marked the 10th year that UA has participated in the national day of service, Make a Difference Day. Volunteers cleared brush, painted, landscaped, cleaned interiors, organized facilities, played with children, and certainly made a difference in our local community.

This is the fourth year the program has been coordinated by the Department of Student Life's Civic Engagement Program. In its first nine years, more than 5,900 volunteers have dedicated over 21,400 hours of service work to the Akron community.
