Shaylla Smith participated in UA's 2014 Alternative Spring Break program

For most students, spring break is a time to relax and have some fun. For Shaylla, spring break means a little more.

This year, Shaylla was one of 87 students to travel with UA's Alternative Spring Break program March 24-26. UA teams traveled to sites in South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Virginia, and completed nearly 2,200 community service hours.

In Virginia, Shaylla worked at FeedMore & Stop Hunger Now. Volunteer work included meal packaging, working in a community kitchen and assisting at a food pantry. Take a look at the photos!

From Massillon, OH, Shaylla is pursuing the degree Bachelor of Science, Organizational Supervision.
