Travis Pero receives the Outstanding Freshman Award

Held annually, The University of Akron LIFE (legacy, integrity, fellowship, excellence) Awards honors students, faculty, and campus organizations that have demonstrated the LIFE values.

At this year's event, Travis Pero of Norton, OH, won the Outstanding Freshman Award . The Outstanding Freshman Award is presented annually to a freshman student based on her/his depth and breadth of contributions to the University of Akron community within his/her freshmen year in the areas of involvement, leadership and scholarship. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be in good standing and have completed at least 12 credit hours.
